Tuitbook keeps your students’ records on your own phone, not on our servers. This page says, in plain words, what the app, the pay page and this website do with information.

In short: no ads, no tracking, and nothing sold or shared for marketing. Your students, fees, payments and attendance never leave your phone unless you send them somewhere yourself.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter in the app is saved on your phone only:

  • students and their parents: names, phone numbers, email, school, notes
  • classes, timetable and attendance
  • fees, payments, receipts and fee bills
  • your own details: name, pay details (such as a UPI ID or bank account), logo and reminder wording

We cannot see any of it. The app works without an account and without internet.

Backups. A backup is one file the app makes when you tap “Save a backup”. It goes only where you send it, for example your own Google Drive, iCloud or email.

Reminders and receipts. These are sent by you, from your own WhatsApp, messages or share sheet. Tuitbook does not send them and does not see them.

If you sign in

Signing in with Google or Apple is optional. It is used for your plan (the free trial and Tuitbook Pro), your referral code and pay links. When you sign in, our server keeps:

  • which of the two you used, and the id number Google or Apple gives us for you. We do not receive or keep your password, and we do not keep your name or email address
  • the country the first sign-in came from
  • for each phone: an id made by the app for that installation, whether it is an iPhone or an Android phone, the app version, and the last day the app checked your plan
  • your trial dates and your plan
  • your purchases: which plan, when, and the store’s reference for it. Never card or bank details
  • your referral code, and which accounts joined with it

To slow down misuse, we also keep a scrambled form of the network address a sign-in or a referral code came from, for up to a day. It cannot be turned back into the address.

Purchases

Tuitbook Pro is bought through the App Store (or Google Play). Apple or Google takes the payment; we never see your card. A service called RevenueCat keeps the record of purchases for us and tells our server which plan you have. It receives your Tuitbook account id, the details of the purchase and basic technical details of the phone, such as its type and system version.

Pay links

A reminder can carry a link to a pay page that shows a parent how to pay you: your name as on the bank account, your pay details, the amount and a note.

  • The link is made and signed on your phone.
  • A short link keeps that information on our server in encrypted form. The key that opens it is part of the link itself and never reaches us, so we cannot read what is stored. It is removed when the link expires or when you delete your account.
  • The pay page stores nothing on the parent’s phone, uses no cookies and has no analytics.
  • The parent pays you directly from their own bank or payment app. Tuitbook is not part of the payment and never learns whether it was made.

Students and parents

Information about students and parents is entered by their tutor and stays on the tutor’s phone. We do not have it. If you are a parent and want something about you or your child changed or removed, please ask your tutor.

Who else is involved

  • Google or Apple, when you choose to sign in with them.
  • Apple (App Store) or Google Play, for purchases.
  • RevenueCat, for the record of purchases.
  • Cloudflare, which runs our server and the pay page. Like any host, it sees the network address a request comes from in order to answer it.
  • Hostinger, which hosts this website.
  • WhatsApp or your messages app, when you send a reminder or a receipt. The message and the number you send it to go to that app, as with any message you send.

The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.

This website

tuitbook.com sets no cookies and loads no trackers. The company that hosts it keeps the usual technical logs of requests.

Deleting your information

  • What is on your phone is yours to delete: remove a student, or use Settings, then “Delete account and data”, to clear everything.
  • Your account: the same button removes your account and everything listed under “If you sign in” from our server. How to delete your account.
  • What remains: a scrambled marker with your trial dates, so that a free trial or a referral reward cannot be taken twice. It cannot be turned back into who you are. Records of purchases stay with Apple or Google.

Changes to this page

If what the app does with information changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
